Breaking bad news is one of the most stressful duty for the healthcare providers,
precisely residents, fellows, assistant consultant, and consultant. The difficulties
appear in the reflection of the recipients (patient/family). Sometimes, it leads to
violation against healthcare providers or cause distress for the patient/ family.

bad news, to improve their communication skills, and to predict the violence or
The course is blended course, didactic section and role-play. Didactic section
concentrates on three major aspects, the psychological impact of the bad news
on the patient or family, the skills needed to break bad news, policy and
procedure to deal with violence. On the other hand, role-play section is focused
on the way of breaking bad news and how to deal with angry or distress

2. Participants will be able to predict the prevalence of violation or distress behavior.
